FESI (Fédération Européenne des Syndicats d’Entreprises d’Isolation) is the European Federation of Associations of Insulation Contractors. FESI was founded on 23rd October 1970 and is an independent European Federation representing the insulation contracting sector. FESI promotes insulation as one of the best, the most cost-effective and sustainable manner to save energy. FESI represents the insulation associations from 18 European countries whose members are active in insulation for the industry, the commercial and the building sectors, as well as for shipping, insulation, soundproofing and fire protection.

Member categories

Organisations representing insulation firms (thermal insulation, sound-proofing and acoustic correction, fire-proofing insulation) in the countries of Europe can be FESI member in one of the following categories:

  • Active Members: All professional bodies representing insulation firms in every European country can be active members.
  • Associate Members: Firms which are members of these professional bodies are associate members, in so far as their professional bodies are active members.
  • Corresponding Members: Insulation firms in countries where no representative professional body exists.
  • Global informative partners: Global acting companies producing or suppling material or equipment for the insulation contractors, also global organization supporting insulation market

General Assembly

In spring and autumn, FESI members meet for a General Assembly at a location in Europe to exchange knowledge and meet again. During these days the meetings of the commissions also take place. Commissions consist of experts from the insulation sector and act on project base. The outcome of a commission project will be presented to the General Assembly for approval.
